Throttle position sensor, calibrating or adjustment help
Hello Fellow CL members, i need help, and advise..
My car has problems, one is that my acceleration pedal would not respond after a 5 minutes of driving, after engine got hotter.. Car had codes for TPS, And APPS, and bought an OEM TPS ,so i changed it, and that problem got almost fixed... no more those codes, but
i read in manual that TPS has to be adjusted according to LEXUS hand held meter, to some value..
i also bought Chinese ELM327 usb reader 20$, and one of the software that came with it, was able to read some of the information from OBD, such as Absolute throttle position and relative throttle position, and to b honest i have no clue to what they are.. if you could help me , how should i adjust my tps. souse sins i changed it , on cold start my RPM are around 1300, and gradually going lower but it takes longer to go to idle then it used to, after it heats up my RPM in paking around 750, and whaen im in DRIVE stopped at traffic light its somewat 450, 500, is it normal?.. Please help

I think there's a DIY on this if you search. Any scanner with live data will work. You set the percentage throttle position on the TPS to 14.8 (key on--foot off accelerator pedal).
