The Long Search.....And Finally The Find.
Maybe not as long as some other folks have spent looking for their perfect GS, but I finally found the 430 I was looking for. After 2 months of searching hours each day online, bumming rides to and from work, and walking to the grocery store I finally found my silver on black 430 with low low mileage. About 2 months ago my 300 was t-boned in the parking lot of Fiesta Texas down in San Antonio. Some chick thought it was a good idea to go 40 mph through the lot and smashed directly into my drivers side door. With the 300 totaled, I decided I was going to get exactly what I wanted and nothing less. After more than a month of everyone telling me I would never find it and driving myself half crazy......I found my car last week. An '05 GS430 with nav and levinson and 47k miles. So far this is what has been done.
I went ahead and put the 20"s from my old 300 on the ride this weekend for the time being. I am running 245/35 Falkens. The wheels are 20x8.5 Devino Flawless. +35 offset. Eventually I wanna go staggered and shave the rears and roll the fronts. Some of you may not be fans of the chrome which I am sure I will hear. Tonight I am going to install my led tails. Will post more pics later. I havent posted a whole lot in the past two years, but I have learned a ton from this forum and have developed a love for the GS like many of you have I am sure. Thanks to all of you who have posted and helped folks like myself learn more about the GS and preaching the gospel of doing it right the first time.
I included some pics of the old ride, day of wreck, as well as some pics of the new ride. Will post more later.
- Removed Spoiler
- Tein Coils
- Backup Camera
- 3M Bra installed on bumper, hood, roof, headlights and mirrors
- Custom 10" sub with custom box and level control

Thomas, with the 430 the ride is a whole lot smoother, even with the coils and on 20's, and the cabin is a whole lot quieter when on the highway. Of course my 300 was a 98 so it had some age and wear and tear here and there. I love it and it was WELL worth the wait and frustration over the last two months.
