Cool Sharing Common Toyota oil filter w/Sienna van

When I was shopping for 5-30W oil for our Sienna van,I cam across the reference that my GS share the same oil filter in the chart. Yet, the toyota oil filter has a label called for multiple model of Toyota engine except the Lexus GS430.

Can someone hlep me to clarify its authenticity ?

Thank ahead ! Pal

Having changed the oil on both recently (Sienna and GS400) I can say they are *not* the same. I don't have the part numbers handy right now but they are different sizes.

Yes the 6 cynlinders (V-6 or I-6) will take the same oil filter and the V-8 will take another one.

The Sienna's is the same as the RX300 and I've been changing my own filters. Yes, the Sienna's will fit the GS and vice versa, but I wouldn't do it.

Those two engines, Sienna and GS, have different oil pressure characteristics and seated position angle.Stick with the OEM spec filter.

Thanks guys, it is very clear that the OEM filter corss refers to a wrong filter /Sienns and GS have their different oil filter.
