Hello All,

I have a 1999 GS400 that just started making a loud humming sound when I turn the AC compressor on from the dashboard OR when I drive above 65 MPH. I am fairly certain there is something wrong with the radiator/AC fan and am wondering how I go about taking it off. I have the instructions from the service manual - and it says you need to drain the radiator coolant - which doesn't seem necessary.

If anyone could let me know exactly what I need to do to remove the fan - whether I need to follow the service manual instructions to the letter or not.

Also, if anyone has any other insight as to what might be causing the noise - it only happens when I am at a high MPH and when I turn the actual AC button on from the dash.
