Broken clips and broken front seat backing question.
This is a 2 part question, no need for 2 threads...
The infamous " the-moron-who-doesn't-know-how-to-remove-the-back-side-of-a-seat" problem. Any solutions how to fix this. When I got the car, the back side of the seat was broken. You know the 2 hooks on top of the panel that you slide upward into the seat? Well one is broken and is hanging like a loose booger. I dont have $385 to replace it so if anyone has invented something to fix this, that would be nice.
the other problem, the trunk door liner. All the black press-on clips that hold it up. Where can I get some of those that dont break? Seams like no one knows how to remove these with out breaking them other than me! I dont let people work on my car but myself, but each very rare occasion that I have (like 2 or 3 times in last 4 years) they either break them or lose them. Anyways, the actual real problem is find some that snap it snugly. Let me know what you use cause local part stores dont carry enough of what I need and fasten-all is too far!

Yes sir. Thats the little booger Really dont want to spent $120 bucks for that, there has to be a way to get it holding up. I'm sure I can get it to happen, just wondering if anyone else has messed with it to save me some anguish
Man the price has come down a GRIP! The last time I checked it was $385

May be of no help, but had a similar problem on my `96 LS400. That seat back had two white plastic clips on the uppper part which were supposed to go into tabs made of metal with holes in them. All I wanted to do was make it look a lot better, but maybe not needing to be perfect and not planning to have to take the seat back off again. So I was able to force a plastic tie wrap behind the broken white tab and then thread through the hole in the metal tab and then through the end of the tie wrap with the "locking" portion. Pulled it as tight as possible which pretty much closed the entire gap and has been that way for 2+ years. Hid the excess (or it could be cut off). No one notices it looks any different than the other seat (except me of course), but I'm fine with it.
