I replaced both the UCAs as well as both caster arms. Caster arms are torqued much higher but were not hard to replace. Neither were the UCAs.
LCA #1 would be the most work as there is more to disassemble AND you have to make certain you don't totally screw up your alignment before it can be re-done.
If you can do brakes, you can do this.

Link didn't work for me.
You'll need jack, jack stands, some sockets/wrenches, a torque wrench and a pitman arm puller to do everything I did. THere are some great tutorials on this site. Here's a good one on the caster arm (LCA #2):

THose are the caster arms or LCA#2. Pretty easy to replace. I did both caster arms and both UCAs on mine in under 3 hours working by myself without a lift.
Sewell has those for $258 for the pair. Those are the ones I installed on my 98.

I didn't have any vibration. I was sick and tired of the 'Daizen squeak" so I went back to stock units.

I just ordered some daizen control arm bushings. How bad was the squeak? I hope just good greasing will take care of the squeaking...

AHHH. so a guy with a regular jack and a socket set can do this you think eh?
http://lexus.sewellparts.com/accesso...-2002-527.html are these the "re-designed" ones with the new bushings?

You'd need jack stands to put the car up on but yeah, if you follow the DIY you'll do okay. You could always recruit a more mechanically inclined friend to help.
I'd do it for you if you were local.
I do believe they are the upgraded bushing but I can't be certain on that. You could call Sewell and ask them.

My squeak was pretty bad. I put up with it for 3 years. The previous owner had them installed. That was before I bought it in May of 07. Not sure if anything has changed with the bushings or the grease supplied to them. I also don't know who installed them and if they greased them properly.

After installing them myself I'd really want a shop to explain why it would take more than an hour and a half tops to do both sides. I did both sides and the UCAs on my garage floor in under 3 hours.
