Default Differences between California and non-California GS430?

Are there any? And how to tell whether yours is California?

There's no difference for the GS. What makes a car CA or not is the emission. I forgot where exactly but it's either in the driver's door jab or underside of the hood. It should say something like CA emission certify or 50 state certified. If it doesn't say that then it doesn't meet CA emission requirements. I went through this when I picked up an out of state GS.

Yes there is. Look under the hood and there should be a sticker saying it's comply with California Regulations.

My GS3 has a Warning sticker from the state of CA on the driver side window. Something about cancer and emissions

You can but it first needs to be certified by the Referee before you can smog it.

Wrong.. I bought my gs from North Dakota nd did smog without referee but at the DMV it had to get VIN numbers checked from doors, hood, trunk ect ect.

You would need a referee if it's not stock.

Here's what you need to know and do if buying a car from outside of CA.

Looking for a sales price with a ridiculous amount of sales tax and license fee

If it's got one of those then it's a CA car
