Default Grom Audio Bluetooth aux

Hello, I am new to Club Lexus. I was wondering if anyone has run a microphone for handsfree calling with this kit? How do you run the mic? I watched one video where its run under the steering wheel. Is that panel easy to remove? Thank you in advance.

I ran the wire through the back to the left. It comes out kind of behind the ignition and up to under the instrument panel. I had to remove the bottom cover and the ignition cover. It took about an hour but wasnt difficult. Mic sounds surprisingly good.

Thank you. I like that placement and ease of install. My Grom wont stay on disc input. Double press single press, does not stay on the disc input, flashes and then goes back to FM. Do I have to disconnect the CD changer from the glovebox as well? Got the grom plugged into the cd port in back of radio (yellow wire plug) but no go?

Sorry to hear that. It was a while back, but I followed the instruction booklet about disconnecting the CD changer/ or plugging it back into the GROM harness, dont remember exactly what it said. I also found that if my phone was at maximum volume, the sound would be distorted. I'd keep my phone at about 90% volume, and adjust the rest on the stereo.

Thank you. I removed the cd changer from the glovebox and magic started. Its working. Bonus... Car manual fits perfectly in the slot the cd changer came out of.
