Wondering if any here can help me out..

I have a 02 GS300. I recently replace the driver side front door lock actuator. So it locks and unlocks now w/ the alarm system. But when I put the car in PARK, or turn the car off, it should unlock my door. But it doesn't. I dont know what the problem might be. Does it need to be reprogram like the windows do? or???

If anyone can help, or if you have experience this before, please advise me.

Does it lock all of the doors when you put it in Reverse or Drive? Did you try to unhook the plug to the driver side door actuator to see if it lock and unlock?

I have an 01 GS300 (2 bad actuators so will be changeing them soon) but when i put the car in Park it does NOT Unlock itself...What happens is the front two doors are only locked from the outside...So when you pull the handle to get out, even though it is locked it opens right up, (then after that stays unlocked) but there is not automatic unlock upon getting into park as far as i know.

^^ mine unlocks when i put in park and locks when i put it in drive. I have an 04 gs300. But anyways, I had the same symptom when my driver side went out. Lights wouldn't come on when I pressed the alarm and driver side door didn't lock. I went 10 days not knowing my driver side door didn't lock. Just hear the locking mechanism and shrugged my shoulders. Luckily I brought extended warranty so I took it to the stealership to replace. One door cost $900 with labor. But I didn't come out of pocket so I was happy. Now everything works. Put it in park and it unlocks. Put it in drive and it locks. Bad thing is dealership told me that's its a common issue with the 2gs and eventually, all will go out. Hoping the other 3 will go out before I hit 100k and warranty is done. I'm at 63k now. The other bad thing is now the driver side rear door locks LOuD as *****!! You can hear that **** from a house away. Oh yea, after changing the driver door actuator, my range to unlock/lock my doors is further. And I didn't change out the battery on my key! Amazing!!! Lol.. When I left the car there to fix, they provided a loaner car which was the Lexus es. The minute I hit the lock/unlock button, the alarm sound was LOUD! It was awesome. I wonder if they can set my cbest settings that loud.
