Hello.
New guy here. Just put a deposit down on a particular car.
Was wondering if I could get some feedback on my purchase?
http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/ctd/1031232041.html
Personally I prefer the black interior, but I love the low mileage, and the fact that it's fairly close to me.
Anyone know the dealership or the car?
Good deal or no?
Like I said, I placed a deposit this morning, so I'm not worried about someone stealin it out from under me.
Thanks.
Jesse

Welcome to the club....good choice on this pick up..Again, make sure check out all the service records.. That fairly low mileage. Can you offer for less (OBO)? If you love this GS430 by making the deposit is a smart way, make sure that no one else putting more for the deposit and stole your car..hahha...Congrats.

Yeah, it's greater than I wanted to spend, but hard to pass up that kind of low mileage.
As far as service records... I've got the autocheck and carfax. Nothing much done to it as nothing's really needed at such low mileage. I kept thinking timing belt, 'cause I'm used to looking at older cars, but that's not due for another 47,000 miles!
What else is involved in maintenance? Something about lower ball joints? Shouldn't need them for a good number of miles I would suspect

Welcome to the Club. I hear ya on the black interior. When I went to purchase mine there were two black ones. One was a 2000 GS3 black on tan and the other a 2001 GS3 black on black. I of course went for the 2001 for the interior and other upgrades. Nice find nonetheless.

from what it seems like on the other threads, the vast majority of cars that have their ball joints go out are 98-00's with aftermarket suspensions and huge wheels...
