Default 1st Oil Change. GS400

Hi, I'm doing my first oil change for my 1998 lexus gs400. I dont kno how much oil to put into the engline. My car didnt come with user manual. Thanks.

well considering its a gs400 4.0 liter engine..

about 5.5 quarts...so get 6 quarts because some oil filters are a bit larger than others.

You can recieve a free owners manual here https://www.clublexus.com/forums/great-deals/92845-free-lexus-owner-s-manual-if-you-lost-yours-interesting.html

Or you can 1800-GO LEXUS to request one. If this does not work out, pm me and I will ship a spare manual to you..

As far as the oil goes, Our cars require 5w30 motor oil. You can use 10w40 as well during extreme hot summers. Synthetic or dino oil is your call... I've been using synthetic myself for years..

You need 5.7 qts of any viscosity oil you choose. If you were prev on full sun stick with if not use conventional
