I love the horsepower that my GS400 puts out. I have been looking at wheels for it but as much as I want the car to look great, I don't want to take away from the performance. I currently have 16's on it. Does anyone know if there is a certain size I should go with if performance is my main objective? If so could you send me a link?
Thanks
Thanks

Thanks for the info. I'd rather just use the cross braces and forget the spare. I wouldnt even use the spare with my aftermarket wheels. If I get a flat, GS is gonna get towed on a flat bed...AAA Plus
Oh yea, any pics of your Supra spare w/ cross braces? Thanks man.
#1 The GS does not weigh 4,600 lbs. it weighs more around 3,700 - 3,800 lbs.
#2 The GS is classified as a luxury-sport sedan ...
#3 True taking weight off wheels is more effective than taking weight off the chassis, but reduced weight is reduced weight, and it helps either way ...

. I think the rule of thumb is every 100 lbs of dead weight on the car yields a .1 difference on the 1/4 mi.
The stock spare and jack weights a TON. Probably like 50-55 lbs for the whole setup. Plus I wouldnt even be using it.

My car: 1999 Lexus GS300
Curb Weight = 3,638lb Where did you get the extra 1000 lbs from? The 400, surprisingly, weighs only 60 lbs more than a 300. So taking the spare and jack assembly out of your 400, will net you around the curb weight of a 300, without sacrificing basically anything.
Not to mention the added handling and gas savings (over the long run albeit), of weight reduction.
