wow.. with that many miles and an earlier year model of the car... you can probably get one for close to 10k, maybe even a little less since it's at the auction.

I would have to with you on this as well $10k sounds fair, but you never know maybe cheaper it all depends on who your bidding against.

now 7k is really low, i don't think you can get a gs4 at all that's for sure, and even with gs3 it's going to be high miles and probably less than decent quality

it will be impossible to get a gs4 with any amount of miles for 7k, i dont eve think you an get for 10k, you are lookin aroun 12k for anything, please take it from me. i got to the auctions 1-2 times per week and i always look at the GS go through

$14,000 for a 2000 with that mileage with navi. Don't forget to add tax to the final sale.

Straight from the Manheim Market Report (and this is from the Northeast auctions), a 98 GS400 with 100,921 miles in average condition went for $11,700 (not including auction fees, so probably a little over 12K).

Another 98 GS400 with 108,167 miles in below average condition went for $10,500, so probably a little under $11K with auction fees.

The auction market is really not the best place right now, because it's summertime and people are paying way more than they should.

Unfortunately, almost everybody and their brother is getting a wholesaler's license and have never been in the business. Therefore, they don't know bidding etiquette and bid way too much.

For example, a 98 GS400 with 73,910 miles in above average condition sold for $17K before auction fees. $17K?! To a person with experience, this is outrageous.

IMHO, you'd be better off looking for someone who is moving and must sell their car. That way, you'll know the owner of the car (make sure their name is on the title) and have more time to inspect the car. Unless you trust the person you're dealing with in the auction and they have a good eye for paintwork, I would recommend you steer clear.

Just my $.02

depending on what manheim auction you go to...
here in florida at FAAO the prices are a little higher.
laso you got bout 250 in auction fees, then tax on top of that.. then you got broker charge for the dealer takin u to auction
