Default Mark Levinson and MP3

For anyone who has the Mark Levinsion system and makes their own CDs on the computer from downloads and such, does your custom-made CD play in your glovebox changer?

I tried my custom CDs and they played, but sounded horrible and scratchy. Maybe it was just the CD, it was the only one I had at the time.

I am just curious, does the Lexus changer play other types of CDs besides store-bought?

Thanx.

mine play fine, too...

however, the levinson system may be sensitive enough to transmit a harsher sound quality if the mp3 is poorly encoded or compressed.

I was having the same type of problem with the Pioneer system, because all the cd's i have pretty much are my own cd's (CD-R) and i thought it was the factory changer. Took it to my local Audio shop, and i had a bad amp or bad cables running to cd changer. Long story short, i bought a new one with no amp running to it. Sound isn't nearly as good as it was, but at don't have the distortion anymore.
