Sorry about the accident and I am really glad to see you were able to walk away from it. I can empathize with your lose but at least you're wife still has you around.

Things will get better and you'll find another one that you will love just as much. When it's raining the sun is still somewhere shining........brighter days are comin, buddy!!

I could not have said that better. I know if I lost my Lex for whatever reason, my next GS would be even better! Thank God you came out unscathed! The rest will take care of itself.

Start parting out the car, make some money and change your depression to happiness! Money has that effect on me!

Hey man,

Thank God you are okay, you can always get another car. Life is more important than the car.

it really sux to lose a car you've grown attached to and personalized. Glad to hear that you made it through unscathed. Sounds like you were a little lucky on this one.

Count your blessings (family) and build your next one BETTER!

Default done gs

Just as everyone said, the most important thing is you came out of it without harm. You must be destined to do something great to come close to harm but being saved. Take advantage of it.

Default THANKS AGAIN!!

Well,
Today is another day, and yes, I DO feel much better now. I have accepted the inevitable, and closed the door on that car. I hope to now get a 2000 or later GS with the Navigation system I always wanted. I still don't want to go all out and buy a newer 02 to 04GS. I have been scouring the Autotrader, and it is amazing the quality of 2000 to 2001 GS's available.

I know so much more now than I did with my first deal. I know the car SO much better thanks to all of you.
I will be coming to everyone from time to time asking for advice on some mods. My first GS rode pretty soft, because everything was stock. I WAS mostly satisfied with that ride, but now I admit that maybe I should have made some changes to make it handle better. I didn't want to go too stiff, and I concentrated first on getting it to run JUST right...and it WAS.

Coming from many performance Fords and Chevy's with stiff suspensions, it was a welcome change from the past...BUT, this time I will have to put some road feel back in the next car, and go with some tires larger than the stock 16's.

TIME TO MOVE UP!!!

By the way, when is the L.A. Meet? Someone invited me to tag along with them even if I don't have another car yet! That would be great, as I can see first hand what others have done, and get some good ideas.

Keep in touch everyone...Looks like I'll make it!
