Cadillac's interior might not be up to par but it dog walks Lexus when it comes to sporty driving.

I think the GS beat Cadillac when it was released in 2013. The only Cadillac I've seen that got better reviews was the ATS-V with way more power. Not really an even playing field.

No matter what anyone tells you about Cadillac - DO NOT BUY ONE. I have owned a 2006 GS300, a 2008 IS250 and a 2015 IS350 F-Sport (this is my wife's car). In January I bought a brand new Cadillac ATS 2.0T Premium AWD. The car was so much fun to drive. It handled almost as good as both of my E46 M3s and the power was awesome. There was a lot of tech in the car and I was really enjoying ownership of this vehicle. 3400 miles into owning it my car started shaking violently at idle and it threw up check engine and traction control lights. I was able to limp the car home, hooked it up to a code scanner and it gave me a cylinder #4 misfire. I had the car towed to my dealer and they confirmed that a piston had cracked and that the car would need a new long block.

Three weeks later I pick the ATS up. Within 400 miles the second motor had already blown up. It started stalling at red lights and there was a huge loss of power. Into the shop she goes. At this time I launch a complaint with GM Customer Service in an attempt to get Cadillac to buy the car back. I took the car into the shop on a Friday and by the next Tuesday I had already leased a CPO 2013 GS350 AWD.

The ATS was out of commission for a grand total of 57 days and I am currently in the process of suing General Motors under Missouri Lemon Law statutes. This car is/was complete crap. Look on the Cadillac Forums. There is an entire thread dedicated to people who have had piston/pre-detonation related issues with the 2.0T ATS'.

Lesson #1 - I should never, ever have considered anything but Lexus. Between build quality, fit and finish and all around luxury, Lexus is an amazing manufacturer. No wonder Lexus ranked #1 in JD Power Associates Vehicle Dependability Study for 2015.

Lesson #2 - Never, ever, ever buy a GM car that doesn't contain a pushrod V8. Ever. And based on their abysmal customer service, you might want to overlook those cars too (Silverado, Corvette, Camaro, CTS-V, etc.).

Lexus is number one for a reason. I'm surprised Buick came in second!

Buick being in the top 3 does not surprise me. However, I would have thought Toyota would have been 2nd and Buick 3rd. The Buick LaCrosse is a very nice car loaded up with options, including the 304 hp engine.

The problem with ^^ Buick is that I've never even seen that car before. And I pay attention to cars! It looks like a Regal GS to me. Idk Buicks look nice but they don't do it for me. And quite frankly, I haven't heard of anyone else that is too tickled by any Buick of the modern day. Surprising that they're in 2nd though. Fiat and Jeep are not doin so good! 2014 GC really took a hit on their survey.

Somehow I luck out and get a Lexus that has hella more problems than my sister Grand Cherokee, both 2014s.

Ford needs to update the Taurus. Maybe make a Taurus SHO that isn't completely boring.

I went through a Corvette phase for a while... I was about to order one until I came across quite a few members on the C7 vette forums with blown motors. The worst one I saw was 1200 miles with a dead motor... of course there are dozens and dozens of problem free owners too, but it's just a little scary.

I too went through that phase. I bought six new ones from 2001-2009. My last was a 2009 Z06. I read the thousands of posts about the lifter problems on the Z06s, but mine was one of the most trouble free cars I've ever owned. I am still on the C7 forum every day and read about the problems, but it would not stop me from buying one. I'll admit that todays vehicles are so complex that I'm not sure I'd want to own one out of warranty, but so far that has never been a problem for me as I can keep a car more than 2-3 years and even the 3 has been rare.
