nevermind, I finally got the signal flashes to change from 3 times to 5 times now.. I used that procedure of moving the windshield wiper handle up and down and it finally worked..

I think the standard default 3 flashes is perfect. It shouldn't take but a few seconds to signal and change lanes 99% of time...unless you drive like an old lady and it takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r to maneuver the motorized buggy. Anything more would be too many flashes unless traffic was really bad...and then you might as well just put on the flasher permanently until someone lets you in front of them. I personally would make a change down to 2 flashes before I'd choose to increase the number of flashes.

It takes me 5 flashes to change lanes.

The first and second flashes warn dumb people staring at their phones that I'm coming over. I change on the third and fourth. The fifth is for the guy just glancing up from his text messages letting him know I'm in another lane next to him now in case he was gonna jerk the wheel and change lanes. You gotta outsmart distracted drivers in dfw.

With an opening available I begin moving over after the first flash - the second and third flash is simply courtesy just in case someone is curious after-the-fact what just took place with the lane change.

And yes, we most definitely have some totally ignorant drivers here...but most places do.

Sometimes them morons speed up and stay beside u when u start flashing... and that's when I flex my GS muscle and passed them like they were standing still.

Sadly I can't do that when I'm in the CT though.

Thanks for all the advice. I had them change the windows/sunroof auto open when double click and holding unlock. I also went ahead and got them to change to 5 flashes on the lane change. 3 can be a little short.

The one thing I realized that I should have had changed was the turn signal volume. For some reason it seems very loud when the stereo is off and the windows are closed. Then again that doesn't happen very often.
