Default What size are the speakers in the 2014?

I traded in my 2007 ES350 Ultra with ML system for a 2014 GS. I've had my GS (red) for about 8 mos. I've decided that I don't like the sound system and it's time to upgrade. I have the nav system with the big display and I'm keeping that. It's the premium sound system. I've been searching all over for the speaker specs but I have not been able to find them. Can anyone tell me what size speakers I have? I want to replace them all, amplify the channels, and add a subwoofer. Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure the size, i expect the standard 6.5 for doors and 6x9 in the back. I would keep the speakers they have and just a sub for more bass. I have a system in my work truck and i agree that the GS system is not the best with bass, but for clarity its pretty decent.

i agree. I had a brand new S-Class for the weekend with the Burmester speakers and I actually like the highs in the GS better, but the bass with the Burmester was 10 times better. The GS just needs bass IMO. And that's exactly what I've added.

But I would imagine the doors are 6.5". Dash is probably 3.5". Tweeters are 1" and sub is 8". I don't think there are speakers in the rear deck, just the sub.

It's here somewhere. There are diagrams too with size and spec for each.

Default Factory speake sizes GS350 2013

The factory speakers in the front doors are weird. They are a full range 6.5 speakers in a 6X9 baffle. Up in the top corners of the dash are 3 inch coaxial speakers with a tweeter. The rear doors have standard full range 6.5's with tweeters in the doors above the door handle. and the rear deck houses a shallow mount 8 inch woofer. I had my entire system replaced by Sound Scape Car Audio in Plano, TX . Now I have a Hertz HCP4 amp on my front stage running active powering a pair of Hybrid Audio Technology L1v2 Tweets and L6v2 mid bass. Hertz HCP1D amp on a 12" JL Audio W6v3 that covers the low end and its all tied together with an Audison Bit ten D (Digital Sound Processor) with custom tune. All wiring used was connection brand by Audison and completely wrapped in TESA tape for a clean install in the rear trunk spare tire well. I will post pics below of the factory speakers as well as pics of my new set up. It now sounds AMAZING!!!

Nice equipment. I was thinking about having an enclosure built like this. How does it sound? Do you think it would have the same output as a regular ported box firing to the rear of the trunk?

I'm going to eventually have a custom 4th order box fabricated for the trunk that will fire through the rear hole directly into the cabin where the factory sub was previously. For now I have removed my factory sub from the rear deck so that the sound better flows into the cabin. This is a JL Audio High-Output box with a slot port design. This box works well in the trunk and sounds great, Its a good box for a nice compromise between S.Q. and SPL. I listen to all genres of music. It really does have amazing impact and really gets down low and deep with that kick that you can feel in your chest.

Oh I see. I had a 4th order bandbass enclosure in my previous car with the port firing through the armrest hole and it was crazy loud. Loudest set-up I've ever had. Only downside was it took up 90% of my trunk space

Thanks guys for the help! I should have started here. @PDF you should do some consulting for Crutchfield. They don't have any info on the 4th gens.
