I've left my car for a week before and it started right away when I pushed the button.

4 hours away!!! My Lexus dealer (largest in the U.S.) is only a few miles away from me, which I'm thankful about.
I would have guessed it might have been an alternator making the [speed specific] static sound in the speaker(s) while driving, but a bad alternator would not have drained the battery down overnight with the car shut-down (Off).
Edit: I assume you are aware of the bad batch of batteries. Could a bad cell (shorting out one or more other cells) be a possibility?

To Sick21,
I know exactly what you mean. I was driving and notice that same sound at first i though it was my climate control fan making that sound so i turned it off. I still hear that sound so i shut off sound system. Then i realized that my cooled climate seats were on and that helped with the noise about 80% but i still here it ever so slightly. I am till this day trying to find out what it is. Turning of the climate cooled seats really helped alot.

How did you get it cranked-up? New battery or jumpered... And did your dead battery retain a charge?

I tried folding my mirrors in (by pressing the button) and then back out while going down the highway and it didn't change the noise at all, although I'm sure that could still be a possibility. And yeah, here in Farmington there's only domestic dealers, aside from Kia and Toyota. I considered the Taurus SHO since the dealer is here in town but I really didn't like it, hate the charger. So I mean it really only left cars that aren't sold in my town.

If it sounds like air leakage. Check your weather stripping. On my new car I noticed the verticle piece of weather stripping that seals the front door to the "A" pillar is detached at the top rear the roof.
I was at my dealer yesterday (90 miles away which is pain enough for me) and looked at a few IS and GS cars and they all had varing degrees of detachment at the top of the strip? The service manager seemed a little perplexed when I showed him, as it appears to be a design problem.
Can't send a picture because I came home with a loaner AGAIN, as they didn't properly repair the scratches their PPF installer put on my hood! Crazy bugger took a knife to trim the top edge of the film and gouged the paint pretty much the entire length of the hood!

I would also try the air conditioning system on manual. You may have a air conditioning door leaking a little bit. Put the air flow to the floor, windshield, vents and see if that changes the character of the noise. Had a similar problem in my Tacoma that drove me nuts for a while.
