Default Side Mirror Tilt When Reversing

Just wondering if anyone else finds this odd. I just found out that you have to have either the left mirror button or right mirror button on in order for the tilt down to work. Turning off both buttons turns off the tilt down. The technician at the dealership I called said all Toyota's and Lexus' are like that. I don't doubt him but that's seems like a weird way to turn it on.

You can change it when you're already in reverse too. I love it... When backing up in a parking spot it allows you to see how close to the line you are and also deeps you from running curbs.

Yup that's how it works. I'm ok with it. One less button to have in the car.

Just seems it would be smarter to have it under a menu in settings. Oh, well.

The benefit of it being on the mirror adjustment button is being able to turn it off on command. I've had a few instances where I wanted to turn it off on the fly and the location makes it easy.

My Acura, Porsche and BMW worked like this as well. Doesn't seem out of the ordinary to me.

I think it's perfect. Like Yardie said... You can easily change it in the fly when you decide you need it. If I had to go through the menu to do it id never use it

Go through the menu to turn it off, I mean. I'm just curious, why would you want to turn this feature off? Other than some people just find it annoying, is there a reason I'm not thinking of?

The more things I can have one-touch access to, as opposed to searching through menu options, the better.

Plus, with this feature, we get that one-touch access without having another button added in the car.

Seems to me that this is the best way to do it.
