Phone problem - says incoming call - not
Just got our new car the other day and my wife drives it. She tells me when she gets in it shows an incoming call (private call) when there is no incoming call. She can't get rid of the false incoming call, and it won't let her turn the sound system on. She calls me, then hangs up and it starts working okay. I'm going to try un-pairing, then re-pairing the phone. But maybe someone has had that happen and get give me a quick fix.
Thanks
Thanks

Sam, sorry, I did not understand that. We just got the car, I don't even know how to set up text messages. My wife has tried everything to stop whatever is happening. I'll ask her to check to see if a text came in next time it happens. Thanks for your help.

We have two 2014 LS vehicles, and the problem has happened on both. The only way we can resolve is to power the phone (both of us have iPhone) down and back on.
Like your wife, I can place a call from my phone while the message is on the screen, and the call connects. Once I hang up, the message is gone. However, it comes back when I restart the car.
Once I power the phone off, the problem is gone for at least a while.

I've seen this about 3 times in the last month. My initial theory was that it was introduced with iOS 7.1.2 on the iPhone, but I'm not certain of that. In my case, I believe it's related to plugging in the USB cable at the same time the phone is negotiating the Bluetooth HFP connection.
When Bluetooth connects, the Lexus thinks the iPhone has a call in progress, and, as noted, you cannot dismiss the call screen on the vehicle. If you place a call from the handset and then hang it up from the handset, everything gets back in sync.
Every time this has happened to me, I have powered up the Lexus, and then connected the USB cable to the phone. If I connect the cable first, then power on, it seems to work fine.
I'd be interested to know if anyone else experiencing this problem is also using the USB.

I'm the OP. We have had it happen now in several months. If I recall, I un-paired, then re-paired the phones and had also done some software updates to our iPhones (both "5"s). But I can't say for sure what actually eliminated the problem.

I agree. It's likely an Apple issue, but I'm married to it. :-)
Regarding it being linked to plugging in the cable, it happened to me when my phone was still in my pocket.
I'm at the Lexus dealership now for a wash. I think I'll track someone down who might know.

I know this is an old thread, but this problem just started for my in-laws in both of their iPhone 6's in both of their Lexus vehicles (2015 LS460 and an older small suv (forgot the model number)).
Any further thoughts on this issue?

I have a 14 GS and it happens to me too. I have a IPhone 6 paired to it. being that I listen to my music from that phone, I just play a track and it goes away. It actually just started maybe a month ago out of no where.
