Default Prematurely Worn Rotors???

Anyone have or had this issue?

I have around 24K miles on the car, and when I break the car shakes like crazy. Even the gear selector shakes when I break. Not sure if I should bring it in under warranty, or fix the issue myself. Because the F-Sport comes with two piece rotors, not sure how much $$ it would be out of pocket. I had a similar issue on my G37 around the 20K mark, but luckily I took it to the dealer and they replaced the rotors free of charge.

Any input would be appreciated

Doesn't hurt to go in and talk to your service advisor and let the techs check it out.

Is it something that has recently popped up or has gradually gotten worse?

I experience the same (to lesser extent) and had my my front rotors replaced under warranty, but it was at 500 miles.

This is the video of mine doing this. It really wasn't as bad as yours, but i didn't take any chance with this as I knew it would get worse over time.

Sounds like the rotor(s) warped.
You should feel it in the steering wheel when highway braking, though.

It's common for Lexus & Toyota. All my cars from them have the front rotors wrap around 15-25K miles with no racing, no hard braking..... After market rotors solved the problem for little cost and last much longer.

I would take it to the dealer to get them do the warranty works first, if they said no or you have to pay out of pocket then I would go with after market route.

ps: not sure if they have aftermarket rotors for the F-sport yet.

Strange for the F Sport model to suffer from this. I can see lower models with smaller rotors and calipers warping at 25k but this model brings the big brake package.

Good luck and let us know if the dealer takes care of you.
