1 & 2 are interchangeable imo. The GS is definitely the bigger head turner though, for sure on that one.
1. BMW 535i
2. GS 350
3. Merc-Benz E350 (2014 model)
4. Jaguar XF
5. Audi A6

I would rate them 5, A6, GS, XF, E
The 5 to me is clearly the best looking car in the class, but they are everywhere. The A6 I like how simple and understatedly aggressive it is. The refreshed XF looks great in the front, but everywhere else is very bland. The refreshed E Class however is just hideous IMHO.

The BMW looks more Japanese these days. The Audi has elements that suggest it could be driven both ways - backwards and forwards. The Jag looks better after the big eye was styled out, but not sure what the venting on the side is about. I started out looking at the '13 MB, but I think the '14 is stubby. My complaint about the GS is the styling around the C pillar from certain angles looks a bit stodgy, but I am sure it was done to create space inside. Otherwise I like the GS, I really like the rear (I might be the only one though).
At the end of the day all these cars have their styling merits, for me it depends which one I see on a given day. Although the GS strikes me as having a wide stance when I see it on the road, even though they are all about the same.

Here is how they rank:
EXTERIOR:
1. JAG XFR (regular XF would be near the bottom)
2. GS 350 Lux/premium
3. MB E350
4. GS 350 F-Sport (sorry, but IMO the F-Sport is the ugly cousin)
5. BMW 535XI - Sport package
6. Audi A6
INTERIOR:
1. gs 350 Lux/Premium
2. BMW 535xi
3. MB E350
4. Infiniti M37x
5. Audi A6
6. GS 350 F-Sport (chrome looking racing pedals and extra chrome inside the cockpit was a huge turn-off, even though everything else is basically the same)
Infiniti M37x exterior only looks good in a wicked black, IMO. JAG interior does nothing for me.

But they have to stay fresh to keep the interest. Right now we seem to be at this odd crossroads with many brands and their car designs. The thing with the F Sport if there is no mistaking it from the crowd when it's coming at you. I'd put it at the top IMHO.

Say what you want call me bias but the gs exterior really grew on me. I hated it when I first got it, i thought the front was too similar to that of a camrys but now I love it every detail of the car. It could use better creases on the hood and just everywhere else around the car a bit more detail to the headlights but I like it.
the 5 series is a gorgeous car but since its popular nobody really gets that excited about it when they see it. I think thats what puts the gs in first place.
