Ugh...hope I wasn't wrong???
I just purchased new winter tires for my GS and decide to have them mounted on my old "pie-plate" wheels from my SOLD SC430. They are both 18" wheels, but hoping the way the SC430 wheels are that they will clear the caliper on the GS!?!?
What do you guys think?

I think I just found that the stock offset is +35, so we're only talking a 10mm difference in offset. I would hope that wouldn't affect clearance of suspension/breaks. I guess we'll see.

Just found this info on a wheel site:

I assume that means that my 45mm offset of the SC430 wheels will fit. Now...I don't understand offset too much, but will that mean that my SC430 wheels will sit 10mm further inside the fender?

The offset isn't the only consideration here - the pad or disk fitment of the wheel is a key factor in whether they will clear bigger brakes, as well as spoke design in some cases.
Easy answer is do a test fit before you try to mount your tires on those wheels. Potentially could find a used set of IS350 OEM wheels in the classifieds as a backup.

offset is not the problem at all. as dave mentioned, the disk type is your biggest enemy. sc430 doesn't have bbk, in fact the caliper is very flat on the front, so the wheels are just standard disk. 4gs has big calipers and you need high disk up front (spokes curve out) in order to clear the caliper.
i can tell you this. sc430 wheels fitment wise is pretty similar to 2gs wheels. i had ap racing brakes on my gs400. in order to clear with stock wheels, i needed 25mm adapters. the 4gs calipers are big, i don't see you clearing them with anything less than 25mm.
at that size, you want to get adapters, not spacers

Update!!!
That was a bad idea!!! 
The calipers are indeed too bulky for those wheels to fit on without "big" spacers. Now I need to unmount the tires and have them mounted in my LUX wheels. Can any shop do this or does it need to be done at the dealership due to TPMS?

most of the tire shops should be able to just transfer the tpms over. just make sure they know there is tpms so they unmount the tires carefully
seriously, if you want to invest in another set of H&R 25mm adapters (my guess), it might not be a bad idea (if that's all it takes to fit the wheels)
