Did I get ripped off?
Very new user here first time posting. I test drove the 2013 GS F Sport and thought it was amazing. I tried out other cars as well but felt this was by far the best deal. Then I went about price shopping. Using what I'd found online from others here, I felt a fair option was to ask for $3,000 under MSRP + tax/tag/license. The sales rep agreed and I went to the dealership (JM Lexus). When I got there I met the rep and he referred me to his manager to fill out the paperwork. Because they did not have the car available they said it could be a 60-120 day wait. No problem for me. Only issue is when I met with the manager he told me he could do the agreed upon price, but that price did not include a $695 dealer fee which he had to include. I told him he should've bundled that into the cost of the car since I specifically said + tax/tag/license but he said there was nothing he could do about it. After a prolonged discussion, he agreed to tint the windows for free. Probably the most expensive window tint they've ever done
So my question is: Did I get ripped off? Do I have any recourse since I already agreed and put down a $500 deposit?

You can always get out of it, they have to refund your money by law if you request. And he could have bundled it into the price prior to TT&L. I find it easiest to ask for OTD price so there are no "oops" extra fees that are frequently attempted to be inserted.

Did you sign anything saying it was non-refundable? I'm not a lawyer but the car was never delivered to you, you can get it back. If you have to wait 60-120 days, I would keep shopping. I'm sure there are tons of other Lexus stealerships in FL that would want your business. I'm helping my girlfriend shop for a car now, and if they jack up the agreed upon price beforehand, I'm walking out.

If you got what you asked for (3k under MSRP plus tax/tags/license) and they then added the $695 delivery charge, you did ok. The tint was a plus in your favor. It's only money anyway, right?

Not great what the dealer did, but not the end of the world. I'd still go forward with the deal. Maybe you can squeeze out another accessory or some free oil changes. Tell them you are marginally disatisfied and if a customer survey were handed to you, you'd not be too kind. That always gets their attention FAST.

Be happy that you got a new 2013 and enjoy the car. it wasent a $8,000 IS300 that $700.00 would make or break the deal. You even got free tint which my dealer charges $500.00 for.
be happy and take pics of the car when it arrives.. my wait because it was a special order was four yes 4 months.

I see nothing wrong with the deal, they always like to leave out the fees till the end if possible....they gotta try and make money elsewhere if they are cutting a good amount off the car. I hate it when they do that too, but I wouldn't let the car go over it. Seems like you guys worked something out with the tinting anyways.

I hear terrible things about JM lexus, such as not doing warranty work because the customer did not do their oil changes with them so they couldn't guarantee that preventative maintenance ruled out the issue.

That is not a bad deal at all, especially with a hot car and hot model. If you're comfortable with the deal, it shouldn't matter if you feel ripped off or not. It's all about what you value.

Thanks for the responses everyone. The car was a 350 GS F Sport completely loaded with all the options. No car available on lot was told it could 60-120 day wait. I said no problem. Frustrating issue is that I'd already decided on the car and was price shopping. Via e-mail I told the employee I wanted the car for MSRP (approx. $60k) + tax/title/license. He called me and told me he could do that. Only after coming into the shop and ready to sign the paperwork does manager #2 tell me I'll also have to pay $695 dealer fee.
