When to expect delivery?
Hello all. Just curious... Ordered my custom 2013 GS in March. Earlier this week, my dealer said the car just hit the high seas from Japan. Official delivery date from Lexus is May 9th. My dealer said he wouldn't be surprised if it was more like end of April. What have people experienced in terms of time from the moment the car gets on a ship? 2 weeks, 3 weeks? I'm in Montreal so East coast. Thanks.

Ask them to email you the specs of the car. On the top left it will say "Vessel name". Once you have the name of the cargo ship it's on, you can track it online. It will also provide an ETA to the next port so you have an idea of when it should be arriving at the port.
Thats what im doing.

Steil....I work for TMS (Toyota Motor Sales), and if your car is to arrive on a vessel on May 9th, our cars are on the same boat
My car is to hit Jax port on May 5th, then the vessel will leave on May 6th from Jax and head to Newark to be there May 9th. Our cars left on Tues of this past week. The transit time is 26-29 days depending on seas and how quick the vessel gets through the Panama Canal. I worked at the port in Jax for 3.5 years before being promoted to help start up the newest Toyota plant in MS.
I also ordered a GS
GS350 AWD
Starfire pearl with cabernet interior
Fsport with cold pckg
Mark Levinson
Heads up display
Blind spot monitor
Remote engine start
Wheel locks
Can't wait man!

I ordered my GS F Sport on 2/29 with deposit. The car arrived at the Port of Los Angeles on 3/29. The dealer in Dallas is telling me it will arrive at the dealership between 4/17 and 4/23.

I am not sure how Canada works in getting their cars. Maybe try come into Portland and then by rail to Canada, not sure on that. I thought since you were East coast that it might go to Newark then rail up?!
GSTony, yes you did get lucky! Your local dealer probably traded with another dealer for a unit exactly like you requested. It is much faster that way but hard to do due to demand of GS currently.

AWDs come through Portland and RWDs come through JAX.

go to your search engine. bing, safari, google etc. type in the name of the vessel. make sure it's a vehicle carrier. for ex. the name of the vessel my car was on was AEGEAN LEADER. your dealer can give you a print out of what's installed on your car port installed accessories etc. that paper has the vessel name, engine # and everything you need to know.
