Drivers side front suspension noise...
New(1sttime)user with a recent purchase of a 94 gs300. It sounded like I had a bad front strut so I put 2 new struts on front. Was ok for a few miles but noise came back. When traveling over tha smallest of bumps the noise is almost like a "clang"....visually checked obvious things like bushings at sway bar, tie rods, ball joint (upper and lower), tugged and pulled for looseness...can't seem to isolate the noise.....but sure sounds like the.....same old strut....
Help......suggestions?

First thing that came to mind was the balljoints, but looks like you replaced them already. Try removing the bracket off the swaybar bushings. The ones on my old 1GS looked good visually, but I found them to be cracked in pieces when I removed the bracket. Also, did you check the swaybar endlinks? Usually they would make a popping/thumping noise, but might be worth checking out. Good luck!
edit: Oops misread and thought you had replaced the balljoints already. The lower balljoints are a common wear item on this car (2GS as well) and would generally make some creaking noises while turning if they are worn.

Check the brake dust shield? Recently I had noise from my left front suspension too. The shield was lose. After taking off my caliper and rotor I noticed my shield was cracked on the top where it wraps around the spindle/hub. So it'll make clanking noises when I hit bumps etc.
I also noticed the 2 bolts that held my caliper to the caliper bracket were missing too... lol ....

Issue resolved!!! Rattle was from the bottom slide bolt of the driver side caliper....close examination revealed uneven wear on the inner pad.....( the top of the pad looked like it had wear life left, but the bottom was almost down to metal) the caliper was tilted and almost bottomed on the slide bolt side and hence, was a little loose. Installed fresh pads and...poof.....no rattle....Wud have sworn it was something else.
