Failure Code Pair 41 & 71
Hi All
I am getting an intermittent ODBI check engine on my 93 GS300 that comes up as the code pair 41 and 71 (TPS circuit fault and EGR malfunction, respectively). When I say "intermittent",. I am not clearing it, it goes away for a while on it's and comes back on. The EGR valve is fairly new (less than a year/15K miles). Any ideas where to start on this one? Should I replace or clean the TPS as a starting point? Thank you for your help. I read somewhere that if I threw some octane boost in this might clean it out, but I'm skeptical.
