Talking What is everyone's take on this?

Hello all. I am a 2IS member, and am looking into a 2nd ride (because the IS is on a lease, so the 2nd ride can't be too costly). I posted a link of a SC400, but that car seems to be getting less than favorable reactions. Then I came across this:

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv...849498997.html

Basically, this is what it is:

1994 GS300 in gold/champagne. 108k miles, asking for $4k. What's everyone's input on it? Too expensive, decent, or too good to be true? Input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Not bad for the mileage. I'm curious why people were giving the 400 bad reviews though. In my opinion the 1uz is more reliable than the 2jz. I owned one for a while and loved it.
If the car is in good shape that's a good price

Link's been removed by poster, I bought mine for 8k with 108K on it in 2005. I overpaid a little for the condition but had been looking for a while and just bought it. If it's really clean, 4K would be acceptable but I'd imagine if you could point out all the flaws 3K would be Ideal. You'd be surprised how cheap you can find these cars today

I prefer the 2JZ as well, don't get me wrong, but the main reason it takes #1 in my opinion is the "modability." The 1UZ really lacks the ability for modification. I do think that the 1UZ is a better DD motor though. As long as you don't mind feeding it gas haha. I had a 1UZ (let me preface this by I didn't know the following) with 220K on the original timing belt. The timing belt was missing 3 teeth when I found out, but its pretty impressive it went so long on that timing belt! I am not saying a 2JZ couldn't do that, but I think its impressive!
