Default Hacking CD Changer input to factory radio

Ok, here's the deal. I just installed an XM radio via direct antenna connection to the factory radio and it sounds like crap! It's very tinny sounding and the level is very low. I was thinking about trying to interface the line level output of the XM radio to the CD Changer audio input of the radio. Has anyone done this? Just wondering if the signal level is going to be similar between the factory changer and XM radio output. If it works I could even rig up an auto switch box so I could still use the changer.
