Are more people willing to jump in to buy at 74K? Or are people waiting til the end of the year...

Personally I think 74k is excellent and what it should have come out as. That makes it very competitive with similarly optioned sedans with roughly the same performance, e.g. 550i, C63s, ATS-V, A6. High-80s was just fantasyland and coming out at that price was a stupendously dumb move by Lexus. It took all the air out of the GS-F launch and tainted its image. Surely with the $14k of profit margin they trimmed they could have had the car come out with a supercharger instead...

Agree that had this been $74K to start with they would have had a different reception. Might even have landed in my driveway but I ended up looking elsewhere due to the fantasy pricing they were hoping for.

Will be interesting to see if this does actually get people off their butts though and then what, if anything, thinks they learned from this.

Care to elaborate? Maybe you have some inside info. I am negociating for under 74K and will find out tomorrow if they agree to the price. It's been a little back and forth for two weeks. Hopefully they agree and I'll have one for the 4th of July break. If not, I'll be waiting for the end of year rebates.

Yes, Numbers worked out to less than $74k if that helps. (Only on a Lease)
