So I got in the car to go get lunch and my screen had a message,
"LEXUS APP Suite requires an update and is unavailable until it has updated"
So I selected "YES", it did the download through the HD Radio (I guess) as that is all I have selected for the traffic.
It did the download in about 2-3 minutes, and then asked if I wanted it to install now or later. I selected now.
It installed in another 2-3 minutes.
I did a quick reorder while sitting at lights on my way back to the shop.
So it appears to have downloaded and installed pretty quick, I am not sure of what is different as I do not use it much and was not expecting to need the before and after difference.

But I wanted to let others know so when you see it you have a little idea of what to expect.

You'll get these updates from time to time and usually you won't notice much, if any, difference. My experience with them is the same as yours, that they are typically pretty quick and easy to install.

Just curious, is the Sirrus/XM subscription needed to update this, or does it somehow update via the app paired with the phone via Bluetooth? Asking because I don't plan on keeping the XM radio subscription, but like the App suite.

From how I understand downloads work is they come either through your phone or from the "HD Radio" service. This is selected through the Traffic Info setting.
I have only allowed the traffic info to come from the HD Radio and not any from my telephone.
I do not think it uses the XM/Sirius radio for any of that type information or download.
I used to like XM radio< but with all the FM/AM stations and the HD radio extra stations it is hard to justify XM.

This is an update for the Enform App Suite. But now, it's added another one of those inane "notification" screen that requires an "OK" before you can proceed with using the apps.

Thanks, I have some more learning to do! Understood with the justification on the XM. I did get a $5 month for 5 or 6 months offer from them, I would pay 5 bucks a month, but the fine print said you have to setup CC billing nd it automatically renews at the 'going' rate unless you call. Been there b4, that's a PITA.

I did this as well. I agree on the rebilling being a PITA, but they do notify you when it's going to happen.

Yea, tell them you enjoy the service but it's not in the family budget. They'll discount again.
