Need opinion ASAP!! 2pc front rotors on F-Sport
Recently I went to Lexus because of clicking noise (during very slow turning, like during parking) coming from front end of the car. It ended up coming from 14.0-in ventilated rotors, pin-mounted to an aluminum hat.
This involves 2013-2016 RWD F-Sport models
To fix the clicking, they have replaced 2pc rotors with 1pc all steel flat rotor.
My question, should I go back to 14.0-in ventilated rotors, pin-mounted to an aluminum hat? even if there is a chance of the clicking noise? or should I stay with heavier 1pc rotors?

Are you familiar with the TSB for the clicking noise, and what Lexus recommends? Is that what Lexus did?

It sounds like the dealership made the change without the 'recommended' review of the differences with you.
I guess if you don't want the clicking noise that you originally complained about, plus brake pads that last a whole lot longer and give off less dust, you'd probably be best keeping what they installed. Unless you track the car there's no need for the OE brakes you had...and if you do track the car you probably want better brakes than the OE brakes that you originally had anyway.
Personally, one reason why I would not want the F-Sport is because the front brake pads and rotors wear so quickly and produce so much dust. In your case, with an F-Sport, in one regard I'd hate to give up the F-Sport brakes, but in another I'd like not having the difficulties the F-Sport brakes presents to owners. It would be a tough decision to make if I was given the choice...but in your case the change has already been done. If it were me - I'd probably accept the change as being a good thing and move on.

the part number indicated this rotor. Maybe i miss read https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...512-30371.html
to OP's question....the 2-piece front rotors are rare in this price point and something that many people try to get in the aftermarket. I would ask them to put the 2-piece back. Buy some 14in, slotted steels and sell the 2-piece for far more than the cost of 2x 14in rotors.
