Looks like I will be around for another 2 years
Have had my 2015 Atomic Silver GS350 for almost 2 years. Quite ready to try something else (MB, BMW, etc...) but my dealership cut me a crazy deal I couldn't refuse, returning my GS months early and huge discount on the new GS with December to Remember deals. Really worried I would be bored by the car so gave GSF a very hard thought, too bad Lexus didn't put much incentives in the car as a lease...
So anyway, 2016 Obsidian GS350 it is. Finally back to black and white garage. Pretty much the same car, Lexus put in bunch of refinements on various features. Rear looks OK, still not sure about the front but I think it looks more modern and aggressive.
Hope I won't be bored the next 2 years!!

Congrats! The refreshed look has really grown on me.
I also noticed several improvements to refinement. One of which is the interior door handles material upgrade and they don't creak anymore when using them.

some minuses that i noticed. trunk spoiler was very common on 13-15 but now most cars do NOT have it. a move by lexus to save cost. same with no more foglights on base model.
one thing i can't remember if it's improvements on 2016+ or had it on 2013-2015 as well. when putting the car in reverse, the mirrors go into reverse position. but the reverse position is now adjustable / programmable to suit different needs. in my older cars (again not sure on my 2015 GS) the mirrors just tilted down and that's it.
it was a good color, but i have to say after 2 years i was a bit bored by it. i still prefer it over gray and silver though.
hahaha omg you still remember my 3gs?!!! no more, my 2015 stayed stock for 2 years and i don't see myself modding this one. this is a great car for normal commute every day, but i don't see myself spending money to customize it. plus with this good deal i got it's good excuse for me to save up a little for my next dream car!

Congrats H! Thinking about a 17GS in Smokey Granite, leases are really good right now.
About the mirrors in reverse. You can adjust them to wherever you want them to set at while the car is in reverse. I was under the impression this feature has been available since the mid 2000s mostly on Lexus models with memory seats iirc.

Atomic Silver was my 1st color choice but they had none with the black interior and the Lux package. Great choice on color although I really like the red too!
You'll get used to the front.

Congrats on the new car! I noticed you got your new one from Longo. I was in the same boat as you: leased the 2015 GS Atomic Silver and kind of got bored with the color. When I went back to Longo again to return the car, they gave me a really good deal on a 2017 Atomic Silver GS, and I ended up buying the car.
On a side note, I initially wanted the imminent white pearl, but they didn't have any more in stock for the rest of the December to Remember sales event. I kind of have a love/hate relationship with that Atomic Silver color. When the car is reflecting light from florescent light bulbs it is the best looking color ever, but in regular yellow sunlight and orange colored street lamps not so much. That Longo underground garage where they keep all the cars are deceiving since it's filled with florescent light bulbs lol.
