Default Anyone get the 2016 Nav update installed yet?

Before I waste the $300 on it next time I go in for service I wanted to see if it was worth it? Map updates only or does it change or tweak the current interface/OS any? I think the part number for the update is pt219-hdd07-16 per the lexusnavigation.com site.

It's just the map (updated roads and such).

Go to http://www.lexusnavigation.com/ and look into the release notes.

I read through the PDF but it was just map changes. it sthat all they do with updates? Ive never updated my GS sonce it was new in 2013 so I am unsure if they may do interface changes too or is it always maps only

Lexus is terrible at allowing updates of the operating system on past models. I think it's their plan to get people to buy new cars...

Do you use the OEM map often? Then the update wouldn't hurt, especially if you go out of town often.

Can you imagine the brand loyalty from existing and new customers at the discovery that even older cars get new features?
Such short sighted walled garden nonsense. Lucky for Lexus their cars are otherwise *amazing*.

The newest album release does not upgrade the stereo you are playing it on...
