How to watch Netflix with prestige bypass
Hi i am getting all parts ready and right now i got the prestise navi video enhancement for my 2016 GS350 and my sub and amp ready from my older car and i wanted to be able to play mt ipad since its easier to xfer movies into my ipad than DVD's and i have netflix with i can tether off my iphone or watch youtube on the screen.
Any idea what else i need to be able to watch my ipad on the OEM navi screen with the prestige navi video bypass.
Some people are saying i just need a adapter that would let me play my video thru the USB on my lexus with a video input wire/adapter i can buy and i can see it with my prestise and some people are saying i need another adapter that would make my AUX or AV into RCA and i need another RCA cable as well.
Anyone watching netflix or yutube from there GS? Any help if i need another adapter or will this do it?
Also will adding another adapter IF i do need take up the space for my subwoffer setup with the amp rca?
Thank you

The PS enhanced bypass effectively isolates all the signals going to the NAV that would indicate that the car is moving so as far as the NAV bypass is concerned you should be ok with keeping the video playing. I have noticed on mine that in bypass mode it will sometimes revert back to normal mode if I am selecting menus on the NAV. The one that I had on my ES did not ever revert to normal regardless of what menus I selected. The one for the '16 GS does this from time to time.
Your biggest challenge would be how to get the video into the NAV and display it.

Don't know if anyone helped you with this, but I just got mine setup yesterday on my '14 GS. You need a few things, but the navigation bypass and the MEIS-TAVI. The meis-tavi basically replaces the AUX and turns it into a AV port. You would then need to convert the RCA wires into a HDMI, followed by a HDMI to a lightning cable or mini usb (whatever phone you have). It's a good amount of wires. That's basically it, very simple install. What this does is basically mirrors your phone. My main purpose is to watch my DirectV, so essentially, I'm able to watch my satellite box while I go now.. No more missing Football when I'm on the GO!
