My GS250 Nav is tracking around 5 miles from my location across major roads and farmers' fields - in other words, there is a big offset that has crept in.

Has anyone experienced this or know if a way to reboot the system?

Failing that, it is under initial 3-year warranty so it will be off to the dealer workshop.

The dealer says I need a firmware update however they are 100+ miles away which is a 6 hour round trip.

Has anyone done an update for themselves?

I don't believe you can do the update yourself because it is a dealer proprietary update if I am correct.

I believe you can recalibrate your Nav system. Look in the nav screens, believe there is a calibrate button and a procedure that follows, that may correct you issue, worth a try.
