GS350 F-Sport AWD vs RWD (just cosmetics??)
Hello all, I am looking to get a GS350 and I really like the F-Sport front end. I would also like to get the AWD version because of the peace of mind. I was looking into it and it seems like all the performance enhancements that accompany the F-Sport are only available in the RWD version. Correct me if I am wrong but it appears the AWD F-Sport is just strictly a cosmetic upgrade?

I dont believe so... the performance should be the same for awd and rwd, rwd will have better mileage due to its 8 speed transmission while awd has 6 speed. Also the rwd will weigh lighter than the awd, but both drive trains will have the cosmetic upgrade as well as the better suspension.
I may be missing something else but thats the general difference between the two drive trains

I have read a bunch of different articles on the subject this is one:

Rear wheel steering was one point that was brought up, that will be missed going the AWD route?

AWD costs more...
It also sits a little higher...4x4

The AWD F Sport model does also come with the AVS with Sport/Sport+, the bigger tires (non-staggered) and the same appearance package (grilles/badges/wheels) as the RWD.
The AWD model weighs in at 165lbs more than the RWD model which may attribute to the RWD feeling quicker and more nimble.
If you're really into performance, the RWD F-Sport equipped with rear-steer, VGRS, larger calipers/two piece rotors will be the better stock performing car when compared to the AWD version.
