Smile AFE Intake Installation Pics/ VIDEO ACCELERATION/BLIPS!

Hey Hey everyone! So, I have not posted in a while since I had my 08 ISF. Anyhow, own a 2013 GS 350 F Sport currently packaged with HUD, Lexus Dynamic Handling system, ML, and more--love it! I wanted to share the install pics/video of the AFE Intake. Needless to say, I think it is awesome and sounds great. Love the REAL intake sound and yes, it is more responsive.
Anyone else have it and thoughts?? Please share.

Short Video here:

The kit I installed can be found here:

Nice, clean install. Looks great and factory!

Before final covers.

I don't have one but it sounds just like my stock F-Sport. Maybe it sounds different in person.

Yep video does no justice!! While the factory sound generator provides an intake sound it does not compare. This kit is louder, real, and more pronounced for sure. Day 2 with it and no regrets.

Sounds great (at least through laptop speakers...)!
Do you get an intake growl at all RPMs, or just higher revs like with the sound generator?

You hear the difference starting between 2-3k RPM.... 3+ it really becomes alive and much better than factory imo....not to mention the increased air flow which means some hp gains..it was first thing I did on my ISF as I wanted that sound before the 3600 rpm sweet spot before growl kicked in! I'll try to post some more vids

You may see even better better gains with a larger filter. That area can handle a larger filter. The 2GR likes to breath. I have seen good gains in the 1/4 mile with the non direct injected version of this motor with larger cone filter.

Is this still the best intake? I thought it causes heat soak so you're best getting the F Sport or JoeZ?

Whats the difference between the chrome vs black one? Just plastic vs aluminum? benefits to one over the other?

I would say the black one is better for less heat soak.
