Default 2013 GS 350 F Sport Heated/AC seats problem

Hi All,

We havent use our heated/AC seats for awhile. Now we noticed that the heated/AC seats will goes lower after awhile.

I asked the dealer and they're told me is normal. Lexus designed that way. wtpho!

I'm currently using a 2016 NX200t loaner and both heated/ac seats stayed on at the same fan speed.

Is it normal or dealer just playing with me?

Thank you

In my IS, you could hold both buttons down until it beeped to turn off the automatic function, but I am not aware of the '13 GS working like that. I think the dealer is correct.

The heated definitely goes down so you don't burn your legs like that lady with a jetta. however my cooled seats always stay at the same level. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/britis...rmer-1.1354602

My heated seats as well as the seat ventilation remains at whatever setting I have chosen. The seat temperature does not turn down. And, the seat ventilation does not change.

On mine the heat would go down, ventilation always stays the same. Dealer should be able to reprogram the heated seats to stay constant - I was able to do via Carista.

Why newer model doesn't? Like my 2016 NT200t loaner ... heated/cool stayed ON til i turn them off.

thanks again.

It's a setting you can change if you have Carista. Or the dealer can do it.

Carista is great and allows you to customize the dealer options way easier.

I know the seat heaters/ac can be adjusted by the dealer but are you using the auto mode for the cooling and heat? if you turn the seats on once then 4 lights show up if you hit it again they will stay regulated to that setting. at least my 15 F-Sport is that way.

Starting in '14 the settings changed for the seat heaters. '13 models are the only ones that are defaulted to decrease levels gradually.

My '13 seat heater is set to the normal default setting and it maintains the seat heater at whatever level I choose. It does not decrease levels gradually.

That's what I remember some other '13 owners saying also. Not sure where the difference originates.
