2015 Lexus GS350 F-Sport mufflers
I'm thinking about buying a 2015 GS350 F-Sport with 1600 miles on it. I looks and drives great. The one concern I have is when I looked underneath the back of the car, I saw that both the mufflers had black paint covering about half of it. It looked like overspray from bodywork. Is the black paint on the mufflers normal or is it a sign that bodywork had been done on it?

It could be normal. From the factory, at least from Toyota, the mufflers will have a coating of black paint on the cans so they're not seen from the back of the car. Pictures would help determine if it's suppose to be like that or not.

Mine is the same way. I think they just paint them black to make them less visible from the rear.

Mine is painted black too from the factory. They did that so that ur mufflers will blend in with the underside when looking from the back. Less ugly.
They didn't paint it all the way however.

They won't paint the whole can. No sense in painting the top, won't be seen anyway.

I think it is normal. I did some research and found this photo of a 2013 model that Edmunds.com had in a long term test. Here's the pic they posted of the underside.
