Thank you Terry. Will 10" 42mm offset rub? That is the size the Dealer gave me.

I tried opening that info you put together but I could not read it. It just shows up as a bunch of letters?

You can run 285 in the rear but you will rub without a doubt, I did so I know you will.

My car has 285 on 10" with 48mm offset with NO rubbing.

There are many cars in the database that have 285 on 10.5" wide wheels with 45mm offset that sometimes rub. If I did the math right, this combination is about 9mm closer to the fender than the setup on my car.

If you use 285 on 10" with 42mm offset, your combination is only 6mm closer to the fender than the setup on my car.

So .. the answer to your question is that your setup is in between and not likely to rub since 285 on 10.5", 45mm offset combination only rubs sometimes. You just have to decide if the 3mm of extra clearance in your setup will be enough to guarantee no rubbing.

The database here:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...els-tires.html

is in MS Word format and you have to download it first to your PC. Let me know if you still have problems opening it.

Not really. Mine never rubs.

Others that had a similar setup as yours reported no rubbing which led me to believe it is marginal. The best thing for the OP to do then is to verify with a few more owners with a similar setup. Then he can decide if he wants to take a chance with his more conservative setup.

Yes if you have RWD you will not rub but he has AWD he will rub. Unless there is someone who has that setup and didn't rub AWD.
