3M Clear Bra

Actually its harder than it seems. It goes on pretty easy (use a solution, one part dish soap, 3 parts water, spray liberally before applying) BUT even the smallest microscopic chips from road debris or anything like that, it will cause bubbles and it will look bad (even more so on dark colors). I was gonna pay lexus to do it, the first thing they asked was "have you driven off the lot?" when I said yes, they said flat out no cause of this same reason
As far as self installs it is not recommended. 9 times out of 10 the customer will throw the film away and have to pay again for the material and then the labor. The vehicles Lexus makes are not the easiest in the world to cover but a skilled installer should easily do it without any issues.

That's crazy. Not sure why they would say that. We install film on cars all the time that have been driven. Film will actually smooth over most small chips as long as they aren't all the way through to the primer. But it can still be applied and will not cause a bubble. Most of the dealerships are the wrong place to get it as they do not have skilled installer, use sub par film, and charge a very high price for the work.

Sorry but vinyl and polyurethane film are completely different. I have installed both and but now specialize in clear bras. I would never consider a vinyl installer an expert and I am amazed that he is offering you 100% of your money back if he messes it up. make sure to post some pics of the install.... and close up.
