Default Couple of question regarding the audio system.

Hi All,

New to the forum and just got my GS 350 last week.

I got a couple of questions.

1: What is the max volume? The highest I tried is 45.
2: I have some files in the USB thumb drive with Chinese characters in the filename and they cannot be display. Is this normal or can it be fix?

Thanks

#2. Can't be fixed as the car is for the North American market and unicode character is not supported. What a fail. It should have been at least an optional setting in the menu!

Why on earth would they have made the US spec car support chinese characters?!?

Can't you just rename the files on the USB thumb drive?

Well...because not all US customers only listen to English songs. Lexus has plenty of Asian customers in the US and it would have been an easy fix to either enable or disable Unicode characters especially since they are a Japanese corporation and that feature is supported for the cars released in the Asian markets.

It's not just for Chinese characters but Unicode support that supports Chinese/Japanese/Korean.

You can't prepare for every possible person's preferences.

Not to be a **** but can't you just turn the **** all the way and find out what the max volume is? The factory set max volume won't allow you to blow your speakers so don't worry!!
