Default Help! Huge rock chip

Got a huge rock chip on the door that took off the paint and into the metal of the door! Anyone know how to fix or what shop? I'm in Northern Virginia. Will post pics later.

Ouch. I know how that is. hopefully someone can chime in that's from your area. I also have a decent scratch on one of my doors that go down to the metal. I went to the dealer and they said I'd have to repair the door and part of the rear fender to blend it all for the small price of $700. I ended up paying $10 for the dealership to slap some paint over it for protection. Doesn't look the best but it'll do for now.

Wow that is a big scratch. The paint looks ok, but they didn't have the clear coat to slap on as well? I will visit my dealer and see what they say *figners crossed*

It wasn't exactly a planned paint job. I went in to get an estimate but when they told me $700 I laughed and told them to just slap some paint on it and I'll take care of it at a later time. The paint is solely here for protective purposes until the scratch annoys enough for me to pay to fix it.

Get the Lexus touch up paint and fill the paint. Then get the door edge moulding to cover it. You won't notice it there anymore.

Wow that's hard to look at. Hope you can get it fixed without breaking the bank.
