Possiblity of Disabling Nav Lockout While Moving?
I'm considering purchasing a GS350 F-Sport in November, which is when my dealer indicated the RWD models will come with an 8 speed tranny. The one thing that drives me nuts about Toyota products is the way they lockout using the navigation system when the car is moving.
Is there anyway to disable this function so that I can access the nav when driving? I know this is a 'safety' feature but IMHO it's taking it a bit too far since other manufacturers allow this.

When did your dealer reveal that information about the 2014 models? Two of the biggest questions that me and other potential buyers have are when the 2014 models will be released and whether the F-Sport will have the 8 speed tranny...
Agree with you on the annoyance factor and the module from PS looks very promising!

but then the 2014 IS350 rwd (even regular) gets 8 speed, so naturally i think gs will get it soon too

Toyota/Lexus want you to spend the money on Destination Assist. It's always about money...not safety.
