Maintenance Reminder Light Reset
Anyone know how to reset the maintenance reminder light on the dash? Driving around with a yellow triangle is quite annoying... Almost annoying enough to make me being the car in for service before hitting the limit.
In the last gen it was holding the odometer reset for 10 sec when the odometer was displayed while turning the car to the on position. That didn't seem to work for mine.
Ideas?

I'm sorry I don't know the exact answer, but I'm sure it involves going into the menu and "settings", which should allow you to extend your service intervals and make the light turn off. Or, you could get it serviced.

Dun even know why they made a service reminder for the Lexus. The Lexus dealer will always send a post card to me reminding me to make an appointment wiht them to send the car in for servicing. U can try to go into Option to disable the service reminder...

It actually makes more sense for the car to remind us rather than the Lexus dealer because we all drive different distances. I only have 6600 miles on my GS after a year, so I would rather my car reminds me of the maintenance than the Lexus dealership that thinks I already have 15,000 miles on the odometer.

Remember engine oil will turn bad even car is not driven. Vapour will form from heating up & cooling down process... So relying on driven milage to determine the maintenance interval is incorrect...
That is why i prefer to have a service reminder sticker stick on my windscreen to remind me when was the date & milage i last serviced & the date & milage for my next service.
