Heater not blowing hot air when parked
Got a 2013 gs 350 about a month ago and recently my heater will not work when parked, but once i drive it starts working. Did a but of research and a couple people have said it could be the coolant level. just wondering if anyone else had the same problem and what you did to fix it?

Check the reservoir cap and hoses for any signs of leakage. And, check for a leak at the water pump.
Hopefully you haven't experienced any overheating or CELs - or poor engine performance that would indicate a bad head gasket sucking coolant into a cylinder.
The cause for the coolant leak down is most likely just a faulty coolant reservoir cap. Lexus has issued an updated replacement reservoir cap for the 4GS to take care of this leak down problem. The new updated replacement reservoir cap is Part# 16405-31140 and replaces the old or OE Part# 16405-31110.
Hope this helps!

There was also a leaking water pump issue on some, but I think it was like the 2015, or 2016 or so. Th Coolant is pink and shows up like dry powder. It could not just disappear without a trace. Look around. The Cap problem shows up very easy to see the coolant around the cap.

That's a scary thought going to the dealership. How far are you from the south Chicago suburbs? Youtuber "The Car Care Nut" is in Homer Glen,Illinois who's a certified Toyota/Lexus tech. I was at his shop last week and couldn't be more satisfied with his service.
