Weathertech Billet License Plate Frame
Has anyone checked these out? They are solid CNC'ed American steel plate frames. They are not cheap at $149.00 a piece. I like them, but is there a middle ground somewhere? If anyone has purchased these please let me know.

I looked at their website and they must've repeated "American made" a billion times. No wonder we no longer buy anything American made. They want to charge $150 for something that's worth $20? Most people don't even make that in a week. It's a shame. I guess if you need a bullet proof license plate you have this option.

Thank you gentlemen. You have confirmed my original thought which is not appropriate for this forum. They are cool looking but not $300 worth of cool. I can get a box of Cubans AND a solid bracket for that kind of $$$.

Geez, even the $150 plate frame has their logo slapped on it. The "WeatherTech.com" tends to make their frames ugly. I've used the WeatherTech ClearCover frames in the past, and apparently, Pennsylvania's plates don't fit very well in the ClearCover's built-in gasket. The aluminum plates are overly tight (it requires a screwdriver to fit the gasket over the plate edge) and the steel plates are too large to fit inside the gasket.
As for their build quality, I received a ClearFrame with the gasket installed upside down. On all of their plate frames there are gaps between the inner color trim and the outer polycarbonate cover which creates a noticeable sheen difference when viewing the plate frame in certain sunlight. I've experienced this on every single ClearCover or ClearFrame I've purchased. Also, they do cloud and yellow after a few years

I have the carbon fiber TagArmur plate frame installed. It's fairly expensive as well.
