Parted ways after three weeks!
Just an update to my previous thread posted three weeks ago https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ferrerid=85873
Yesterday I decided to part ways with the 2013 GS350 after three weeks of ownership. The feeling I conveyed in my initial post above, never subsided and I chose my own happiness. Besides, I figured getting out now would be more financially feasible than getting out later. Last night after leaving the dealership I felt like the weight of the world had been lifted off my shoulders. For the past three weeks I've been unhappy and been kicking my own @ss for making an impulsive purchase. Yes it was costly (not as much as i thought) but my happiness is priceless so well worth it.
I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING NEGATIVE to say about Lexus as a company or the 2013 GS350. The dealership, well that's another story. Even though I am a German snob, I am NOT in denial as i know German manufacturers cannot compete with the resale value or reliability of their Japanese rivals. The ONLY reason I decided to part ways with the vehicle was simple.....the GS350 was not ME!
The reason for this post is to give an upper hand to anyone in the PNW looking for a major discount on an immaculate 2013 Riviera Red GS350 with less than 300 miles! The dealership told me they plan to mark the car up to near MSRP, but since I know how much they paid to buy the car back, I can provide someone with a much lower starting point for negotiations. Let my mistake and impulsive purchase be your gain because one lucky person stand to save big time on the new GS350.
I am willing to share details of why the new GS350 didn't work for me but only if asked. Again, I AM NOT INTERESTED IN STARTING A FLAMING SESSION BECAUSE I HAVE NOTHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT THE NEW GS OR LEXUS AS A BRAND!!!

i think the real question is, what are you going to get (or you got already)?
i know you are trying to say the is good, but obviously something made you not happy with the car the past 3 weeks? or it's just the dealership that frustrates you? i would be surprised if you have to deal with the dealership for 3 weeks after getting a brand new car.

I am looking at the Audi A7 or BMW 535 GT. I am leaning towards the BMW though......

you did what you felt was right. whatever in your gut told you that it just wasn't right,,,,,, it is what it is. you have to do what makes you happy, so that you can enjoy your life and sleep well at night. the hit you may take financially is nothing. you'll get that back and then some,,,,,,, it's called positive Karma.

What were the reasons for returning the car? From what I have seen, they want about $62K for a GS F Sport after taxes. Was the car too high or underpowered? 10 years ago a $60K car would have bought much more.
